ABOUT

“The 2nd FAI European Indoor Skydiving Championships and 4th FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving 2022”

Airspace Indoor Skydiving is organising the the 2nd FAI European Indoor Skydiving Championships (EISC) and 4th FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving 2022 (WCIS). The competition dates are April 5-10, 2022. The event was originally scheduled to take place in April 2020 but had to be rescheduled due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Registration information

An estimated 400 athletes from all over the world will be competing at our world class facility situated just 40 minutes driving to the south of Brussels, Belgium. We welcome all athletes and spectators to our world class facility in the heart of Europe.

The athletes will be competing for the World Cup and European Championship titles in three categories: Formation skydiving, Dynamic and Freestyle.

Dynamic consists of speed and free rounds. The free round is an artistic expression of the teams flying skills to music. The speed round is a race against the clock. This years Dynamic 4-Way competition will be SPEED ONLY!

In formation skydiving teams of four try to complete as many drawn formations as possible within the working time. The team with the highest accumulated score wins.

Freestyle is an individual discipline. The athletes perform free routines to music as well as two compulsory routines where the athletes are scored on how well they perform compulsory moves.

 

FORMATION

In formation skydiving (FS and VFS) teams of four try to complete as many drawn formations as possible within the working time.

The team with the highest accumulated score after 10 rounds wins.

Teams will be competing in FS 4-way open, female and junior as well as Vertical Formation Skydiving (VFS) open.

DYNAMIC

Dynamic consists of speed and free rounds.

The free round is an artistic expression of the teams flying skills to music.

The speed round is a race against the clock. The competition follows a tournament knockout system where the team that makes it through every battle in the end wins the competition.

Teams will be competing in 4-Way and 2-Way Dynamic open and junior. NEW of the year is that the Dynamic 4-Way competition will be SPEED ONLY!

FREESTYLE

Freestyle is an individual discipline.

The athletes perform three free routines to music as well as two compulsory routines where they are scored on how well they perform compulsory moves.

The athlete with the highest accumulated score after 5 rounds wins.

The athletes will be competing Freestyle Open and Freestyle Junior.

Registered training period*

* Airspace Indoor Skydiving wishes to give each team a fair possibility to book training time at the competition arena. Therefore a maximum of 30 minutes of training time per team per day can be booked from March 28, 10 days prior to the start of the event. Remaining free time will be sold at the organiser’s disgretion after the deadline of Final Registration March 1.

Teams that have completed the final registration and have paid the full registration fee can book time at Airspace Indoor Skydiving prior to the event at a discounted rate. All team members have to be present and flying.
Off Peak (Mon-Sun 09-23) : 518,90€ (550 VAT incl.) per hour.
Peak (All other hours) : 566€ (600 VAT incl.) per hour.

Each team or freestyle performer, whose official registration duly reaches the Organiser of the competition before its official deadline, will have the opportunity, under the terms and contiditons set by the organiser, to book a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes of training time between 8:00 and 24:00 pm (local time of the competition) to be performed within forty-eight (48) hours prior to Official Speed Setting Flights. The team must book this time with the Organiser before the official registration deadline. After the deadline the Organiser may offer the remaining time to anyone. Junior performers have priority between 08:00 and 18:00.
